Inspiring People Series: Daisy Nokes

This blog kicks off a series of interviews I conducted with a select group of people in London and nearby who inspire me to be the Highest version of myself. All of the people included are serving their communities in their own unique way, raising consciousness and healing people as part of their life path. The questions are philosophical and designed to reveal something deeper about the subject. With great pleasure I introduce Daisy Nokes. Daisy Nokes, who I first met through her healing work was sent to me as I was under going a colossal awakening process and we've been connected ever since.

Since Daisy was a child, she has been fascinated by the sense of something indescribable. Aged 23, this quality manifested itself completely for a few moments when she met the ‘hugging saint’ Amma. After studying with Amma and a diverse range of teachers including Adyashanti, and having trained in bodywork, Reiki and Vortex Healing®, she was getting ready to give up her day job and open her own healing practice. In addition to her healing work with clients, in 2012 Daisy trained in Counselling, qualifying with a BA(Hons) in 2015. She first specialised in helping people overcome substance misuse in deprived areas of London, and now works as an Equine Assisted Therapist for a professional sports charity, alongside her healing practice. Daisy's training under Amma, Adyashanti and in Vortex Healing® are ongoing.

You've got three wishes, what would they be?

My first wish would be to fully live what I have realised about the true nature of myself and of life without ever again turning back to old conditioning. My second wish would be that the world would finally be at peace, with nature expressing herself without the compromise of human intervention. My third wish would be that people would stop thinking that love exists outside themselves as something that they need to obtain.

If the average lifespan was just 40 years what would you have done differently?

If I only had 40 years, I would admit right away that love - that truth - is the only thing that exists, allowing life to unfold from that origin point now, rather than later.

What is something you know you do differently to other people?

I tell the truth in situations where many people shy away from it.

Has your greatest fear ever come true?

No, my greatest fear has never come true. Great question!

When was the last night time you marched into the darkness with only the soft glow of an idea to believe in?

7:15 this morning. Lovely question.
