Is It Bad To Lose Weight Quickly?

The 6 week fast weight loss programs have their place in the world .. but there are some facts you need to know about them.

  1. They are bloody hard work due to being so restrictive .. meaning for those 6 weeks you will feel like absolutely shit! You will feel lethargic and grumpy from lower calories.

  2. You can say goodbye to your social life .. you cant have one, it is total commitment to get the results you want.

  3. Research suggests you will put whatever weight you lose back on and more than likely a few more lbs due to the uptick in appetite hormones driving you to food seek.

  4. They are a short term option that I would not recommend for anyone who has an unhealthy relationship with food and/or exercise.

  5. They are great for that last minute holiday that you did not plan with the girls or any other event that has crept up on your calendar. 

  6. The results will be fleeting, guaranteed your cravings will take over and you will soon say goodbye to the abs.

Are they something I would recommend?  Only in some circumstances, and only for the women who are not candidates for eating disorder. We do screen for this in the consultation process. They can be used safely to get you a short term result if that is what you need however, the healthier option is a program that helps you achieve your goals in longer stages. If you’re looking for long term results, stay away from the 6 week fast weight loss intensive programs, they aren't for you.
